UTILITY REBATE PROGRAMS
- In a recent study by the American Council for An Energy Efficient Economy/ACEEE, it was found that 50 of the 52 largest utilities in the US support HVAC energy efficiency measures.
- The public utilities commission in 27 states (as of 2019) has defined State Energy Efficiency Resource Standards (EERS), which are long term (3+ year) binding energy savings targets for utilities or third-party program administrators. Savings are achieved through energy efficiency programs for customers and can include HVAC improvements.
